We Are Hiring:

Director of eCommerce

We are looking for a leader to evolve our marketing strategy and take a Web First approach to customer engagement and sales. We are looking for a strong manager to maintain and enhance the Title Nine brand online, improve our customers' eCommerce experience and drive our online revenues and customer acquisition. This position will work inter-departmentally to ensure all aspects of web marketing, merchandising and operational execution happen successfully.

Primary responsibilities include leading and developing the eCommerce marketing team and driving online sales, improving the Title Nine eCommerce experience and expanding our brand exposure in the online marketplace. This position will manage and develop all online marketing campaigns. This position will partner with the Director of Digital Technology to ensure our site technology and features are current, properly maintained, flexible and maintained on budget.

Job Specifics:

  • Develop and execute Title Nine eCommerce marketing strategy by leveraging our multi-channel environment
  • Oversee both development and execution of eCommerce initiatives to support Company focus of Web first
  • Manage internal team and outside vendors who execute our email, search, and other online marketing programs
  • Lead, coach and develop eCommerce team of 5
  • Develop a compelling shopping experience to increase customer online sales, new customer acquisition, loyalty, retention, and conversion
  • Leverage our mobile site to effectively drive sales in our multi-channel environment
  • Budget authorship and management
  • Establish, analyze, communicate and respond to key metrics
  • Manage and optimize email, SEO, SEM, portal/mobile app and banner-ad programs
  • Drive new qualified traffic to site and improve online customer acquisition
  • Improve Title Nine brand presence online
  • Stay abreast of current technologies and marketing techniques
  • Develop traffic drivers for our retail stores
  • Establish priorities for the web team and optimize department's resources
  • Partner with the Director of Digital Technology to bring cost-effective best online practices to Title Nine with regards to merchandising, features and functionality
  • Manage internal communications to ensure web is working in conjunction with all other T9 departments and channels -- namely Creative, Merchandising, Inventory Planning, Catalog Marketing, IT and Stores

What Title Nine needs from you:

  • Proven experience in building and managing eCommerce marketing programs: including email, SEO/SEM, online display advertising and portal/mobile apps.
  • Ability to understand and articulate the "big picture" to team members.
  • Minimum 5 years' current experience in eCommerce marketing for a national retailer strongly preferred
  • Experience in managing teams through fast paced, changing dynamic environments
  • Experience with a multi-channel retailer a strong plus
  • BA/BS in Marketing or related field strongly preferred

We are currently on the hunt for a talented Controller who will be responsible for managing all financial reporting, budgets and accounting functions. The Controller manages a 5-person A/P, A/R and Payroll and Benefits team and reports to the CFO/COO.

Job Specifics:

  • Manages primary accounting and financial functions of the organization including personnel, processes and systems
  • Manages general ledger for three divisions and two brands
  • Directs the accurate analysis, posting, processing, reconciling, and reporting of all financial transactions and information
  • Reviews and approves general ledger / payroll transactions
  • Ensures timely month-end close process
  • Works alongside management team to author and maintain annual budget
  • Develops and monitors financial metrics and results of the organization against budget
  • Produces weekly dashboard and other ad hoc reports to ensure tracking to budget
  • Oversees the annual financial audit
  • Ensures all required information is accurately generated and submitted to external auditors and advisors
  • Responsible for accurate physical inventory and reconciliation processes
  • Designs and generates financial statements and other accounting statements and reports for management, bank and owner
  • Serves as primary interface with the bank, auditors and tax consultants
  • Oversees the preparation of tax and financial information required to complete federal and eight state filings
  • With CFO, assesses overall company risk factors and oversees the negotiation and purchase of all insurance policies
  • Oversees general compliance, reporting and insurance/risk management
  • Continually makes recommendations for improving business practices, accounting processes and systems that support business growth goals and new initiatives
  • Manages, develops and trains the finance and payroll team of five

  • Active CPA license
  • 7+ years of Controller level experience for retail business with inventory
  • Team management experience
  • Fluent in GAAP application for retail
  • Comprehensive understanding of inventory and cash management
  • Proven experience as a leader who can attract, develop and mentor highly talented team players who support Title Nine brand and growth
  • Experience working inter-departmentally and gaining traction with peers and departments that do not necessarily report to you
  • Prior success and affinity for working in small, flat entrepreneurial organizations

Web Systems Administrator

We are on the lookout for a Web Systems Administrator to join our E-Commerce team. In this position you will evaluate the customer "path-to-purchase" by utilizing website metrics reporting (Omniture) and making recommendations for streamlining conversions and new customer acquisitions. This role has a thorough knowledge of the order integration system and a basic understanding of dataflow, data implementations and feeds, backend systems as well as a solid understanding of the Title Nine customer. This role can leverage web analytics data to understand customer behavior and make actionable recommendations. This role is integral to our website's success as you will provide daily systems support, make continuous improvements and troubleshoot problems.

What you will do in this job:

  • Troubleshoot website systems and processes. Ensure functionality and help maintain order flow process.
  • Help manage (and troubleshoot) data transfer process and integration between Commercialware and web platform
  • Manage source code and promotion code creation as needed. Work closely with marketing team and circulation to provide necessary offer codes.
  • Manage seasonal launches schedule and coordinate work between web production, web merchant and marketing coordinator to launch a new season.
  • Define, develop, and document all design requirements for projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and feedback for designs.
  • Manage the build process from beginning to completion. Lead the user testing and provide final approval of new site features and functionality.
  • Help manage some outside vendor relationships, cost out and manage web customization projects and schedules.
  • Review and maintain website reporting for home pages, gateways and tools (bra finder, mix and match) and make recommendations for conversion optimization
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the website front end functionality and be able to make ad-hoc product and asset edits and updates
  • Act as a team player and self-starter with the ability to analyze tasks, work independently and to drive projects to completion. Have ability to initiate, plan and execute in order to meet deadlines.
  • Manage and drive A/B site testing for key pages to develop insights for increase conversions or future tests.
  • Conduct regular user research and usability studies and present actionable recommendations.

Social Media Coordinator

Title Nine is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to drive customer engagement in all social media channels. This individual will be a product user able to communicate and interact in a voice that creates connection to our brand. They thrive at a fast pace and have a keen ability to create genuine connections and community on all social platforms. The goal of the Social Media Coordinator is to attract & engage new and existing customers and drive more traffic to our website and into our stores.

Job Specifics:


  • Receive, filter, answer and route requests and inquiries, including media/blogger requests, affiliate program questions, cross promotional/partner events, and donations
  • Monitor all social media activity, creating benchmarks for success, setting priorities and defining budgets

Blog & other social relations

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key influencers; some copy writing for company blog; fulfill requests for assets for all channels
  • Educate and promote brand understanding
  • Manage Timeout blog: calendar, content, posting/URLs, moderation
  • Work closely with Creative to corral content and eCommerce to implement

Platforms (incl. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest)

  • Participate in conversations that surround our content and brand
  • Schedule and post engaging content (created, repurposed or corralled from across the company)
  • Tag and title content, with an understanding of the impact on organic search and rankings
  • Watch for customer service related tweets/messages/etc. including product/fit/sizing questions, and respond in a timely manner; route non-Customer Service related inquiries to the proper departments
  • Create and update weekly and monthly reports; develop success metrics
  • Oversee all 26 Title Nine Facebook pages; point person for Retail and Customer Service on all Facebook-related needs/questions, including grant/moderate administrative access, ad level access and more on all pages; write Facebook Ad copy and change out cover photos (3-4 times per catalog drop)

Event Support

  • Promote Blowout Sales and Fit Fests, as applicable; coordinate promotional support (such as #T9FitFest blogger event); promote Title 9K and sponsors/donors on all applicable social channels; coordinate T9K-related events, such as giveaways

What Title Nine needs from you:

  • Understand the social media universe including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, YouTube, Vimeo, Flickr, iTunes, blogs, etc. and how to leverage each unique channel to meet objectives.
  • Demonstrate creativity and immersion in social media (social media links/portfolio required)
  • Experience with video/audio production and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Excellent writer and editor; familiar with AP style
  • Able to identify opportunities and threats in user-generated content
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or English preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience; a social media addict who has acquired expertise through personal participation
  • Direct experience with the outdoor industry and/or sports and fitness a big plus

Distribution Center Supervisor

Our evolving Distribution Center needs a broadminded, motivated leader with an eye for detail and dedicated initiative towards quick product turn-around. Our warehouse is growing from a manual, paper-based management style to fast-paced, electronic management systems using RF guns and advanced warehousing software.

What you will do in the role:

  • Lead a team of approximately 10 diverse, multi-talented individuals.
  • Prepare and monitor daily/weekly work plans and pace, discussing and implementing modifications as necessary to meet goals.
  • Direct and oversee productivity and processing strategies and employee training and development.
  • Work with internal and external departmental leaders to support labor and data needs with exceptional customer service being the primary motivator.

What Title Nine needs from you:

  • Be open to rapidly adjusting priorities and motivated to accommodate versatile strategies to respond to such changes.
  • Communicate plans, goals and expectations to team members with the goal of driving engagement and enthusiasm, providing corrective guidance when necessary.
  • Delegate as well as participate with all levels of departmental tasks when/where necessary.
  • Communicate effectively through multiple avenues (e-mail, phone, personal interaction) with DC managers and inter-departmentally to update and coordinate efforts towards goals.
  • Team leadership experience (ex., athletic team captaincy and/or work-related project lead)
  • Computer savvy, both with internet and Excel. Powerhouse experience a plus.
  • General warehousing experience is required, familiarity with Shipping and/or Receiving will be useful.
  • Goal completion-driven, but able to maintain sense of humor under pressure.

Basic requirements include:

  • Be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Be able to move around in high and low areas using step ladders and stools.
  • Sit at a desk for extended amounts of time.
  • Be able to push and pull utility carts and pallet jacks.

Assistant Store Manager

We're looking for Assistant Store Managers for our Mill Valley and Los Gatos, CA; Austin and Dallas, TX; and Leawood, KS stores!

Assistant Managers work 30-35 hours/week and must be able to work weekends.
