Race Day Arrival
Please help us with the traffic crunch. There is only one road that travels into the Boulder Reservoir which means it can be slow going. And we're not kidding!
Please help us get everyone parked and ready to run on time by carpooling and arriving at least one hour before our start time of 9:00am. And don't forget, if you are looking to have your little one participating in the Rag-a-Muffin run, start time for that is 8:15am. So the earlier the better!
Parking
The Boulder Reservoir has plenty of parking. It's getting to a parking space that can be tricky. The single road that travels into the reservoir can make traffic kinda hairy. So, we strongly recommend that you arrive at least one hour before the start time and to carpool in if at all possible. (If it sounds like we are repeating ourselves…that's because we are!)
Here are some other suggestions for nearby parking lots where you can meet up with a group of friends and carpool or walk in:
- The Tom Watson Park lot on 63rd Street across from Coot Lake (west of IBM). Warm up with a 2 mile run on the Reservoir Dam road to the start line. Or you can carpool from the lot.
- The Pleasant View Soccer Fields (on 47th Street south of Jay Road). Ride your bike or carpool from there.
Once you arrive, please follow the parking attendants' directions and hustle on in.
Packet Pick-Up
You have a couple of options here:
Early Packet Pick-Up: (Highly Recommended!) We strongly encourage you to sign-up for pre-race packet pick up at one of our 2 Colorado stores the week prior to the race. Picking up your packet ahead of time will allow you some extra time to enjoy the morning, eat a banana, chill with a friend, or hang-out with your family pre-race. It is the race day hassle free option.

Race Day Packet Pick-Up: Or you can stick with the tried and true of picking up your race number and goodie bag on race day beginning at 6:30am. Yahoo!
Baby Jog Stroller Rentals
If you're coming in from out of town and need to rent a jog stroller for the race, give the folks at Baby Stay Rentals a call at (877)635-9885. Or check out their website at www.babystay.com. Mention the t9k and receive a discounted rate of $10.00 per day.
Travel

If you're flying in from afar, we recommend flying into the Denver International Airport and renting a car for the 30-45 minute drive into Boulder. How do you get to the Boulder Reservoir? The address is 5100 N. 51st Street. The crossroads are Reservoir Road and Keho Road. Directions are listed below or you can go to www.aaamaps.com
From Boulder:
Take the Foothills Parkway N. (CO-157)
Veer to the right onto the N. Diagonal Hwy (CO-119)
Turn left (west) on Jay Road
Turn right (north) onto 51st Street.
From Denver
From I-25, merge onto US-36 West towards Boulder
Merge onto Foothills Parkway N (CO-157) toward the CU stadium.
Veer to the left onto the N. Diagonal Hwy (CO-119)
Turn left (west) on Jay Road
Turn right (north) onto 51st Street.
From Fort Collins
Take I-25 S/US -87 towards Denver
Take the CO-119 W exit (exit #240) toward Longmont
Turn right onto CO-119 N.
Continue straight to get onto CO-119 / E. 3rd Ave.
Turn left onto CO-119 / US-287 / Main Street
Turn right onto CO-119 / Ken Pratt Blvd.
Continue on CO-119 S.
Turn right onto Jay Road
Turn right onto (north) onto 51st Street
From west of Boulder (towns along I-70)
Take I-70 E. to 93
93 Becomes S Broadway Road
Take Broadway to Table Mesa
Left on Table Mesa to Foothills Parkway
Left under the overpass onto Foothills Parkway (CO-157)
Veer to the left onto N. Diagonal Hwy (CO-119)
Turn left (west) at Jay Road
Turn right (north) on 51st Street
