About The Course Ė NEW this year!
You asked and we listened! Instead of a convoluted loop, we are going straight-forward this year Ė literally! The course begins and ends across from the Nature Museum off of Cannon Drive, north of Fullerton Parkway. Youíll go straight up about 2.5 miles, do a little loop right beneath Montrose, and then retrace your steps back down. Thatís it! The little bit that goes back around the east of the tennis and ball courts is a tad narrower, but otherwise itís a nice, wide course. Perfect for those strollers! The beauty of the whole course is that itís mostly paved BUT thereís also a dirt side-path for those who want to be kind to their knees. Yay!
Update: The course turn-around loop goes across Montrose and then around and back down. We want to let you know so you won’t be confused when you go under Montrose and then turn-around! This ensures an accurate 9K. There will be helpful Course Marshals to point the way and an Aid Station and porta-potties there to help with any needs!
Aid Stations & Potties
There will be three aid stations stocked with water, snacks, and encouraging volunteers! You will pass the same one going up and coming back down. There will also be an aid station at the turn-around loop. And of course, whatís a Title 9K without Chocolate! Youíll get to indulge right near the end of the race at our famous Chocolate Aid Station.
There will be plenty of Porta Potties at the start of the race and then a few more stationed at the turn-around point.
