And don't miss the post race party - rock out to the DJ, and enjoy all of the expo vendors!
Chicago, IL at Lincoln Park (North Cannon Drive at Diversey Harbor)
October 20th, 2013 at 9:00am
A scenic 9k (that’s a bit over 5.5 miles) run, jog or walk mostly on paved trails.
YOU! First timers to a race, seasoned runners, elite racers, joggers, walkers, skippers, and mothers with kids in tow—yes! Baby joggers are allowed; we even have a separate category for moms with baby joggers. Sorry guys, this one's just for the ladies! We’d love to see you guys out cheering on the ladies or volunteering. Come join the fun this way!
T9K Rag-A-Muffin Run starts at 8:15am. For more information, keep scrolling down.
- Title 9K Race (all categories) starts at 9:00am
There will be pace signs for the T9K race to line up behind.
We recommend using public transportation or carpooling and arriving at least one hour before our start time of 9:00am. Finding parking can be tricky!
Race T-Shirts & Goodies
All adult race registrants will receive a super sweet T9K tee-shirt from Title Nine. We offer sizes XS through XL. Participants will also receive a bag of Goodies – click here to read more about what’s in the bag for you! Girls under 18 will also receive a bag of Goodies and a sweet custom Title 9K hat instead of a tee shirt.
Lincoln Park has plenty of parking. It's getting to a parking space that can be tricky. So, we strongly recommend that you arrive at least one hour before the start time and to carpool if possible. (If it sounds like we are repeating ourselves…that's because we are!)
A good place to park is at the Driving Range lot north of the Start, off of West Diversey Parkway. There are self-pay meters: Two hours are $5; three hours costs $6; 4-8 hours costs $10.
There is also a parking lot south of Fullerton (below the start of the race). There are different fee structures for these lots. Street parking is always an option if you can find a space!
The lot south of Fullerton Parkway has plenty of parking but the price range is different from the Diversey lot and a little more expensive.
Riding your bike to the race? Fantastic! We will have a bike corral with volunteers to guard your steed while you run.
Early Packet Pick-Up: (Highly recommended!) If you registered by October 10th and specified a store pick-up when you registered, you can grab your race number, goodie bag, and race shirt at that particular store beginning Wednesday, October 16th through the end of the day on Saturday, October 19th. If you registered to pick-up your packet at a specific store, then that's where you need to pick it up!
Directions to the stores can be found on our store web pages:
And remember, if you registered to pick it up at the store but just didn’t make it, we will bring your race goods to Lincoln Park on race morning for you to pick up at the Packet Pick Up Tent. Don’t fret!
Race Day Packet Pick-Up: If you can’t make it to a store, you can stick with the tried and true of picking up your race number and goodie bag on race day from 7:00am to 8:30am. Be sure to choose this option when you register.
Important: Sign-up by October 10th to get the option of in-store packet pick-up. If you sign-up after that date, you will only have the option to get the packet at the race site on October 20.
The top three fastest women across the line, the first girl under 18, and the fastest mom with baby jogger will get awards, so stick around for the awards ceremony! Also, the Best Three Stories will also get awards. Please email your story on “Why I Run” firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also drop it off as a document in either of our stores.

How do you get to the race site? The race starts and finishes in the grassy area near the Diversey Harbor building, just east of North Cannon Drive, north of Fullerton. Take a look at the Course to see where you come to begin your T9K.
From the North (Evanston):
Take N. Lakeshore Drive / US-41 South
Exit at Fullerton Parkway
Turn right onto W. Fullerton Parkway and then left onto N. Cannon Drive. There are several parking lots south of Fullerton. There is also parking in the zoo parking lot but it’s quite pricey.
From the South (Downtown Chicago)
Take S. Lakeshore Drive / US-41 North.
Exit at Fullerton Parkway and follow directions above to park at the lot south of Fullerton.
OR – instead of going south on North Cannon Drive from Fullerton, turn right and continue north on N. Cannon Drive, forking right on N. Lakeshore Drive and turning right on West Diversey Drive. There’s parking at the Driving Range parking lot. (See “Parking” above”).
See you there!
