Boulder Reservoir, Boulder, Colorado

Sunday, May 11th at 9:00am

A scenic 9k + (that’s a bit over 6 miles) run, jog or walk on mostly dirt trails

YOU! First timers to a race, seasoned runners, elite racers, joggers, walkers, skippers, and mothers with kids in tow—yes! Baby joggers are allowed; we have a separate category for you. This is meant to be a woman’s event, where the gals get a day just for themselves, whether or not they are Moms. We highly encourage men to cheer from the sidelines or volunteer and let the ladies have the race to themselves.

Packet Pick-Up

You have a couple of options here:

Early Packet Pick-Up: (Highly recommended!) We strongly encourage you to sign-up for pre-race packet pick up at one of our 3 Colorado stores. Packet pick up at the stores will start Wednesday, May 7 and go through Saturday, May 10 during regular store hours. Picking up your packet ahead of time will allow you some extra time to enjoy race morning, eat your snacks, chill with a friend, or hang-out with your family before the start of the race. Important: Sign-up by Saturday, May 3rd to get the option of in-store packet pick-up. After that, your only option is to get the packet at the race site on May 11th.

Note: If you opt to get your packet at a store but then don’t make it there, we will bring your packet to the Rez for race day pick-up. Just remember to get there extra early to get it!

Directions to the stores can be found on our store web pages:
   Cherry Creek
   Colorado Springs

Race Day Packet Pick-Up: You can pick up your race number and goodie bag on race day from 7:00am to 8:30am.

The Boulder Reservoir has plenty of parking. It's getting to a parking space that can be tricky. The single road that travels into the reservoir can make traffic a bit backed up. So, we strongly recommend that you arrive at least one hour before the start time and carpool if you can.

Important for Spectators: The Boulder Reservoir will be charging an entry fee if you get there at 9am or after. Come early to cheer on your mom/wife/pal - and avoid the $5 fee!

Here are some other suggestions for nearby parking lots where you can meet up with friends and carpool or walk in:

  • The Tom Watson Park lot on 63rd Street across from Coot Lake (west of IBM). Warm up with a 2 mile run on the Reservoir Dam road to the start line. Or you can carpool to get to the main lot.
  • The Pleasant View Soccer Fields (on 47th Street south of Jay Road). Ride your bike or carpool from there. Once you arrive, please follow the parking attendants' directions and hustle on in.

Entering the Parking Lots: In order to ease congestion and make for quicker parking, the Boulder County Deputies are splitting the traffic coming from Jay Road onto 51st into two lanes as you get near the Reservoir gates. One line of in-coming traffic will be directed into the South Reservoir parking lot and one line into the North Reservoir lot.

Post-Race Parking Exit:If you are parked in the North lot, the Boulder County Deputies will direct you out onto 51st and you must go north on 51st to re-access CO Highway 119. There will be signs pointing the way. See Directions to see how you would drive around the Reservoir to get to CO 119 (also known as the Diagonal) to get home – probably more quickly! If you are parked in the South lot, the Deputies will direct you south onto 51st and then RIGHT onto Jay Road instead of left towards CO Highway 119. You can take Jay to 28th to go into Boulder for a post-race Mother’s Day lunch or you can turn left onto 47th to eventually get back onto the Diagonal . Please follow the Boulder County Deputy’s instructions! They are doing this to clear you all out of the lots more quickly and to ease traffic on the roads for everyone!
