If you’re anything like us, you live in your suit all summer long. Follow these simple tips to extend the lifespan of your T9 suit.

1) Rinse out promptly - Sunscreens, lotions, chlorine, perspiration and body oils can all do a number on the resilience of swim fabric elasticity, so prompt cleaning is important.

2) Hand-wash with mild soap - The agitator of a washing machine can stretch out a suit. Use a mild liquid soap to keep colors bright (in a pinch, a dab of shampoo will do).

3) Lay it flat to dry - Avoid the temptation to wring out every last drop of water or hang up a wet suit. Roll it up in a clean dry towel and lay it flat to dry (and out of direct sunlight).

4) Rotate swimsuits - Fabrics with spandex have the ability to “bounce back” after drying. So bring more than one suit and give each one 24 hours to completely dry after washing.

5) Lay a towel down - Watch out for rough surfaces that can snag or pill a suit, like wooden benches and concrete. Once damaged, swim fabric cannot be repaired.

6) Designate a hot tub suit - Hot water is bad for swim fabric, and so are the chemicals used in chlorine and bromine. If you hot tub a lot, use the same suit every time (and avoid using one of your favorites)

Changed the cut

Submitted 16 days ago

I purchased boy short bottoms from Title 9 a few years ago and loved them. They are surprisingly hard to find, so when I needed a new pair I gladly came back here. However they have changed the cut so that the bottoms are straighter across in the back and don't scoop down enough to cover my butt, they are more of a "cheeky" cut. I'm surprised and disappointed that a woman-owned company would modify these to have more of your cheeks exposed. It wasn't an improvement. I would think that if you choose boy shorts you are looking for something a little more modest, I know I was. I'm finding that even swimsuits that say "full coverage" nowadays are nothing of the kind. Not all women want to expose their cheeks short of buying a swim skirt. Feeling frustrated.

Love the fit possibly run slightly on the larger size for me as I have a petite body structure.

Disappointed in the Quality of Material

While these bottoms are super cute I'm disappointed with the quality of the material. The company promotes quality that will stand up to the elements of active outdoorsy customers however, these bottoms fell apart on my first wear! And I only wore them to a pool. I can't imagine what a beach outing with salt water and rough sand will do to them. When I got home from the pool, I noticed the material around buttock area was frayed and the stitching was pulled and frayed too. This is not the quality material I was expecting. I'm disappointed and will be returning this product.

Almost just what I was looking for

These are sooo cute! I wear size 6 pants but could squeeze into a 4 if I didn't mind my pants being super tight. I ordered a small and medium to try, and the small was perfect so I recommend sizing down if you're unsure. The larger size definitely wouldn't have survived a day at the waterpark and on the big water slides or surfing. My hips are about 38" and my waist fluctuates but it's probably around 29" or 30" at the moment. Although these bottoms are really nice material and very flattering, I'll have to return due to the inseam bunching up between the front of my thighs. I just know I'll be tugging at it constantly. I think this could be solved by making them have a nearly 0" inseam towards the inside of the thighs (aside from whatever width of matetial is needed to cover your lady bits securely) and then tapering outward to allow for the same amount of cheek coverage. Alas, I'll continue my search for the perfect boyshort bottoms that don't bunch up between the thighs in front. These were sooo close to being keepers, and might work better for someone with really slender thighs.

I was a little hesitant to pull the trigger on another swimsuit bottom (I was still suffering from the PTSD associated with another brand's swim bottom I had ordered and tried on), but I am super happy I did. I love it! I find it super flattering on my body type in both styles you can adjust this bottom into (shorts and briefs). I have very curvy thighs but no hips. Some swim bottoms just make my thighs look like sausages tied off at my torso. But this swim bottom is perfect. The ties hit above my thighs, giving the illusion of a continued curve into my torso. Also, the side-tie design means the bottoms aren't giving that rubberband effect around the upper thighs. I haven't had a chance to wear these to the pool or beach yet, but I'm excited to do so.
