If you’re anything like us, you live in your suit all summer long. Follow these simple tips to extend the lifespan of your T9 suit.

1) Rinse out promptly - Sunscreens, lotions, chlorine, perspiration and body oils can all do a number on the resilience of swim fabric elasticity, so prompt cleaning is important.

2) Hand-wash with mild soap - The agitator of a washing machine can stretch out a suit. Use a mild liquid soap to keep colors bright (in a pinch, a dab of shampoo will do).

3) Lay it flat to dry - Avoid the temptation to wring out every last drop of water or hang up a wet suit. Roll it up in a clean dry towel and lay it flat to dry (and out of direct sunlight).

4) Rotate swimsuits - Fabrics with spandex have the ability to “bounce back” after drying. So bring more than one suit and give each one 24 hours to completely dry after washing.

5) Lay a towel down - Watch out for rough surfaces that can snag or pill a suit, like wooden benches and concrete. Once damaged, swim fabric cannot be repaired.

6) Designate a hot tub suit - Hot water is bad for swim fabric, and so are the chemicals used in chlorine and bromine. If you hot tub a lot, use the same suit every time (and avoid using one of your favorites)

Loved the Shorts, Hated the Liner

Submitted 6 days ago

The item was true to size, the shorts were flattering, and the waistband was comfortable without pinching. However, the liner could use improvement. It doesn't fit like a proper swim bottom— the elastic is thin and digs in, while the liner itself feels loose and baggy. A great improvement would be using a hot-short style liner for better coverage and flat seams that don't pinch. I loved the look and fit of the shorts overall, but returned them due to the liner design.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

I have been wearing the Nalu style swim shorts for years and decided to give these a try. I don't care for the skirt-y look in the back nor do I like the zipper pocket in front—the zipper is stiff and scratchy. I do love the color (sea urchin) and exchanges are a pain so I'm going to keep them. However, I'll be going back to the Nalu style when it's time for a new pair.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

High quality but very short and a lot of rear material

These swim shorts are super high quality. I knew from the measurements and some photos that they are very short but was surprised how short. And SO much material in the rear. Have not tried them swimming yet and will do it in private since it seems like I'll be showing a lot of cheek and perhaps ballooning up as I swim. Note: I am an athletic build but that was not a selection option for this review. Still on the hunt for a swim bottom that doesn't show a lot of cheek. Normal bikini bottoms seem to have less and less coverage (including in all the title 9 photos).

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
