Strikethrough Pricing & Promotional Offers Policy

At Title Nine, we believe in transparent pricing to help our customers make confident and informed decisions. Occasionally, you may see a product listed with a strikethrough price (e.g., $85) alongside a lower sale price (e.g., $59). This policy explains what those prices mean and how we determine them.

What Is a Strikethrough Price?

A strikethrough price (also referred to as the "original price," "list price," or "regular price") represents the standard price at which we have typically offered a product on our website. The strikethrough price shown (in black) is our regular list price – the price at which we typically offered this item on our site for at least 90 days prior to markdown.

Strikethrough prices are not inflated or artificially set for the purpose of showing a discount. They are based on our actual selling prices and are a key part of our seasonal and promotional pricing calendar.

How Are Sale Prices Determined?

Sale prices — typically displayed in red — are promotional markdowns applied as part of:

  • End-of-season sales
  • Inventory-driven price reduction
  • Sitewide or category-specific promotions
  • Customer-exclusive offers (e.g., email or loyalty discounts)

The discount shown reflects the savings compared to the most recent regular price of that item. While the product may not have sold at the original price every single day, that price must have been active and available to customers for a reasonable period in accordance with industry best practices and consumer protection guidelines.

Final Sale Items (ending in .97)

Items ending in .97 indicate final sale pricing. These products have been permanently marked down and are not eligible for return or exchange. Final sale items are typically part of clearance or last-chance assortments and reflect our lowest pricing tiers. Please shop these styles thoughtfully, as all sales are final.

Important Notes About Our Pricing Practices

  • Our regular prices are set based on product costs, seasonal timing, demand, inventory levels, and competitive market considerations.
  • Some products may have received intermediate markdowns prior to their current price. We do not display every historical price point — only the most recent regular price before the markdown.
  • Prices and promotional offers may vary by time, channel (e.g., email, social media), or customer group.
  • In rare cases, a product’s price may be adjusted due to pricing errors, promotions ending, or inventory status.

Are Prices the Same in All Channels?

Prices may vary across our stores, website, email promotions, and other channels. We strive to keep pricing consistent where possible, but differences may occur based on promotions or channel-specific campaigns.
